Overview

The East Neuk of Fife is located on the coastline on the East of Scotland and is one of the most beautiful places to visit with its quaint little fishing villages.

A sea wall is all that lies between the front door, a small sandy beach and the sea (Ladder with handrail down). This bright, self-contained ground floor apartment can sleep up to 4 people (bedroom and bed settee in the lounge), and is the annexe of a seventeenth century house which is in one of the most enviable positions in Anstruther looking towards the harbour and the May Isle. Situated on Fife's famous coastal path, this is a great base for walks to Pittenweem, St Monans, Elie and Crail.There is a public car park less than 1 minutes walk to the front door.

St Andrews is just a short 20 minute drive away. The White House Apartment is surrounded by the Golden Fringe of Fife, beautiful countryside, historic fishing villages and wonderful architecture. Of course, not to mention many of the most famous golf courses in the world!

The apartment is all on one floor (but there is one step from front door to the hall so not suitable for wheelchair users
Gated patio area leads to private entrance.

Hallway with space for beach gear, wellies etc.
Recently refurnished (2022) open plan living/dining area with double size sofa bed for use by guests, single chair, tv/dvd, dining table and chairs
Galley kitchen which is equipped to self-cater.
Bedroom - Double bed, bedside tables and lamps.
Shower Room - Shower, wc, wh basin, heated towel rail, shaver point
Outside - The private patio area is fenced and gated to allow guests to enjoy sitting outside, and there's is a lovely little beach (tide dependent) just through the sea wall (ladder with handrail down).
Parking - there is a fairly large car park less than 1 minutes walk from the apartment
Heating - The heating and hot water is set by the owners, and there is an electric fire in the lounge.

Laundry - A door gives access to the utility area where there is a washing machine for use by guests. If locked, please just ask the owners to unlock the door during your stay.

The Location

With its historic harbour, Anstruther is a charming, coastal resort town within the East Neuk of Fife. Popular with day-trippers and holiday makers alike, it offers a choice of boutique shops, restaurants and pubs, and a broad promenade which is perfect for leisurely evening walks along the harbour side, or for sitting while enjoying a supper from one of the local fish and chip bars. Take a boat trip to the Isle of May, and look out for puffins, seals and other wildlife, or visit the fascinating Scottish Fisheries Museum.
