The Location

Dating back to the 800's, St Monans is one of the small group of pretty, historic fishing villages which are located within the East Neuk of Fife. It has a thriving fishing harbour, and the Ffe Coastal Path passes through the remains of Newark Castle. The grounds of St Monans church offer breathtaking views over the Firth of Forth, and the much photographed three piers. The East Pier Smokehouse and Craig Millar@16 West End are within the village, and Bowhouse food market, which is close by, is a must visit. The market takes place each month just outside the village and showcases some of the very best local food & drink, music and crafts.
